Next On DDP Episode 20: Mobile Dating

As we mentioned last week, on episode 20 of DDP (whoa!) we are going to be talking a bit more about the mobile app side of online dating. We have some experience with the big three, POF, OKcupid and eHarmony but we would love your input! Also, we’re both iPhone users. So, Blackberry and Android users let your voices be heard! Dating Digital Podcast 019: “Wachaa!”

Have you tried online dating and it just isn’t for you? Maybe it was just one particular site or service that turned you off? This week on DDP, eHarmony gets the axe, Joel explains why. We fill our listeners in on where we’ve been and what has been keeping us so busy including Lara’s experience with Tedx Nova Scotia, and Joel has some new podcast goodies in the works!

Coming up next on DDP episode 20, we want to know, “Do you date on your phone?” As smart phones saturate the market, more and more people are using their phones to access the internet and use handy little apps. Is online dating just as accessible in the mobil space? Answer our listener poll on Facebook or in the comments section below. There is space for some elaboration on both sites.

Dating Digital Podcast 018: “Feed Me!”

In DDP episode 18 we reveal the results of our Facebook relationship status poll, pick a winner of our email contest draw, and talk more social media. Thanks to everyone who wrote in over the past few episodes! We will definitely be doing more contests and give aways in the future, so stay tuned.

Also, we talk Twitter romance, Angela S wants you to keep your shirt on, Shauna J bloodies things up and Andrea C introduces us to “The Starer.”

Next Episode: DDP 017 “eHarmony”

As we mentioned on the last episode, on our next show we are going to dive into the nitty gritty of eHarmony. Up until this point, both Lara and I only have experience with free dating sites. When I first started online dating I was a member of Lavalife briefly and did pay for a handful of credits but the experience wasn’t anything to write home about. With Lara out of town, friend of the show, Laura will be back to guest host and shed some light on the eHarmony experience.

If you’re an eHarmony user, someone with an opinion to share abou the site and you  experience, please feel free to write in to the show. What do you think of eHarmony’s profile process?
